Quantum Analog
Paintings in this series were created between 2016 and 2018. These conceptual and cybernetic inspired explore whether humans are like analog computers operating in a quantum universe. With artificial intelligence and machine learning, we are creating ‘new mitochondria-esque life forms’ that move energy and have the capacity to transform us in ways we cannot foretell. Fear and excitement follow each discovery, as we do not yet fully comprehend this new world we are designing. We are learning about our creations, as they evolve and learn about us, realizing one day, they may take on a life of their own. This compels us to uphold ethics and philosophy as critical to all innovation, as we wonder who holds programming power over our technological systems?
